Rantepao hotels: town rooms, gardens and rice-field stays
Book Misiliana for a first Rantepao stay with a pool, garden and meals on the grounds. From the hotel, you reach the central streets by road; town rooms and smaller homestays cost less.
Misiliana’s pool and gardens
Misiliana has 105 rooms and suites across its grounds, where an old traditional house stands in the garden. The swimming pool, spa, tennis and futsal courts leave something to do between village outings. Accommodation ranges from conventional rooms to cottages and Tongkonan rooms and suites. Breakfast is served at Lempan from 06:00–10:00, while Santung serves Indonesian and international food for lunch and dinner from 12:00–23:00. Room service runs around the clock. The address is Jalan Pongtiku 27, Kesu, on the southern approach to Rantepao.

Indra and the town homestays
Indra’s Jalan Landorundun 63 address places it in central Rantepao, among the town’s shops and restaurants. Riana’s Homestay occupies Gang 3 off Jalan Diponegoro and has the least expensive room in this selection. Toraja Lodge Guest House, at Jalan Edelweis 18 C, lies farther from the central streets. All three are in Rantepao, the destination town for the bus journey from Makassar.

Lower-cost rooms along Pongtiku
Pongtiku is the southern approach to Rantepao, with several smaller places along the road and its lanes. Pias Poppies is at Lorong Merpati 4, Pison at Pongtiku II 8, and Rosalina Homestay has another Pongtiku address. Shops and restaurants are in the central streets farther along the road. Pias has the larger Agoda review history of these three. From this side of town, Ke’te Kesu and Londa are reached on southern road outings; the cave lies about 7 km from Rantepao.

Tikala and the Kete Kesu hillside
Bait Lino is in Bulo Kondongan, Tikala, outside central Rantepao. Its Deluxe room costs less than Misiliana’s Deluxe. Heritage stands on a hillside on Jalan Ke’te Kesu. Both properties are outside the central streets, with town shops and restaurants reached by road. Heritage’s hillside approach leads away from the central shops; Bait Lino has its own Tikala address. Makale and the northern highlands have accommodation in other Toraja stay areas.

Banua on Jalan Kartika
Toraja Banua is at Jalan Kartika 2 in Rantepao town. Its Agoda review history is smaller than the established hotels and homestays above, so it appears as an additional town option. Guests at Banua stay in the visitor town near its shops and restaurants; the rice terraces, cliff graves and traditional villages lie around the wider region. Banua sits between the least expensive homestays and Misiliana in price; a central room at Indra or a Diponegoro-lane room at Riana’s offers other town addresses.
